A Guide to the Birds of East Africa

Nicholas Drayson wrote this beautiful book with illustrations at the beginning of each chapter. My daughter-in-law gave it to me for Christmas. My great good fortune was to discover the book in a pile of books to-be-read by my bedside. I just finished reading it and I commend it you. Unique in its style the story unfolds of a quiet man of great depths. I will not spoil it for anyone who wishes to read it. I do not use the word "unique" lightly.

I just finished an Ernest Hemingway book set in East Africa, True at First Light, and you could feel his passion for Africa in every description. I find when I am going to an area where I normally wouldn't be, like around here, I like getting nature books to learn more about where I am. I think you received a lovely gift. Something to color your dreams.
