During most of my marriage we lived in Southern California. Thirty years ago the home we owned there was spacious but not grandiose. We paid $180,000 for it and it was more than I ever thought I would pay for a house.
Million dollar homes were located in Bel Air, Beverly Hills, and Malibu. The "stars" lived in them!
My son and his family will move into a nearly "million" dollar house in a month or so. They were lucky to have gained on the sale of their first house, but I am sure everything they have will be put into this new home. It is beautifully renovated inside and has plenty of room for their growing family. Most importantly my son's commute to work will not take him away from them for so many hours of the day. Congratulations to my family and I look forward to visiting them in their new home.

The prices in southern California are staggering. I wonder what my house would sell for there? Good luck to your son and his growing family!
Congrats to your son & his family
