Life is short. Break the rules. Forgive quickly. Kiss slowly. Love truly. Laugh uncontrollably. And never regret anything that made you smile.

Happy Birthday, 2009
The past eight years are nearly behind us and the changes we hope for are in the days of your year and those to come. Thank you for arriving safely into the world.
I just read an interesting article in the New Yorker which said the country is like a baby holding its breath before a tantrum. You never know what's going to happen when the moment of calm is over. I hope for all of our sakes 2009 sees us slowly start to breathe again.

Happy New Year, Kate! It's nice to start a year with some optimism. It'll be refreshing to have a smart US President.
Happy New Year, Kate. May it be a good, expansive, learning year for you.
