Retirement Brunch

Barbara and I agreed to meet for a celebratory brunch today in honor of our mutual retirements. Venue was Indigo Landing, formerly known as Potomack Landing. Neither of us brought a camera which was unfortunate because we got a beautiful table in the corner of the deck overlooking the water. The picture was gleaned from the Internet so you can imagine how delightful it was. The brunch menu overflowed with entree choices with buffet-style starters and desserts, as well as champagne or mimosas. Barbara chose the oyster omelet and I the eggs Benedict over fried green tomatoes. Sensory overload as well as stomach overload. We both left with "doggy bags" for home, although I think David, not the dogs, will be the recipient of Barbara's leftovers. A wonderful time with a good friend as we both embark on our new lives.

It was the most perfect day of the spring of 2007. The food and the company were both great as well. I was happy to brunch with you!

Good luck on your big adventure that is just about to begin. I want to hear reports from the road as you toodle across the country towards the southwest.
