I've made my Valentines for friends for the past several years. Last year I even did some as cross stitch embroidery on linen, but this year...nada. I completely fell through the cracks. I like to honor holidays as a tradition, as a memory of what I was taught from my mother, and as a breather from our busy lives to show our gratitude to those we love having in our lives. The Victorians knew how to go all out. Now you get a "I heart you" text from a pair of thumbs.
